THE UPSIDE-DOWN HOUSE: NEAR ST ALBANS

This unique home has the most beautiful views, enjoyed through the living spaces being located on the upper level. The kitchen, sitting room and utility areas needed updating so it was a chance to rethink these spaces.

A new utility room was designed to solve the problems with storage and laundry, and a stud wall moved between the sitting room and kitchen to improve the layout for both. A cohesive palette was developed, reflecting the family's request for a calming, comfortable feel with personality, to be enjoyed by teenagers and for socialising. New furniture, fixtures and fittings were  sourced and installed, inspired by the meaningful art pieces that were already a part of the home.
