1930'S HOME BERKHAMSTED HERTFORDSHIRE

A large house full of character and potential. With lots of 'add on' extensions over the years, the whole of the downstairs needed to be redesigned & renovated. We relocated the kitchen to the lower ground floor to connect to the garden, widened openings in the new kitchen and the entrance hallway area, created a boot room, laundry room, craft room and snug. Door openings were changed, panelling added, a new lighting plan, electrics and plumbing throughout.​​
All interior architecture was designed by Clair, working closely with the structural engineer, builder and joiner to ensure that the design was implemented perfectly. A deeply rewarding project, transforming a busy family's house into a timeless home.
Initial design concept for creating the perfect family kitchen. The brief was to include lots of storage and comfy seating for large gatherings. The large corner built-in banquette with storage does this perfectly.
